The square saliva trap mouthpiece excels at preventing moisture and fluid from entering the instrument. The mouthpiece is frequently used to connect a Simulator to an instrument for this reason, as the mouthpiece makes it very difficult for the simulator solution to accidentally get into an instrument when performing Accuracy Checks or Calibration Adjustments.
