Hello Mary-Ann.
Aside from giving you useful tools and tips on teaching the federal regulations, we provide you with an instructor manual with printed training resources, as well as PowerPoint slides to to train and certify your students. Some of our instructors choose to put their trainees through our online regulations course and spend their time overseeing the mock collections. We extend our online regulations course to our instructors at a fraction of the cost.

Hello Angel.
This course is designed to learn at your pace. However, we do encourage you to try to get everything done within 30-days. We find student’s who stretch it out over too much time, start to loose the information they learn. The only DOT requirement is that you conduct your mock collections within 30-days of completing the regulations training online. The mock collections are done during a live training event using WebEx. You register for the live training once you complete regulations. I hope this is helpful information.

As the title says, really good course with very nice, experienced, knowledgable people running it. Fabienne helped me with sign up and any questions I had about ordering supplies, it seems like I always get a response with in an hour of me emailing her. Ken is the one who runs the course, the powerpoint slides are great, they are very easy to follow and the information I needed to learn was laid out very well. I did my mock collections with Ken over a video call, I was nervous about it but then when I saw the kind of person Ken is I realized there is no reason to be nervous. He does not want to make things difficult and just wants to see you succeed and make sure that you know all of the information you need to know. My certificate was received immediately after completion of the course via email and a hard copy was received in about two days. I highly recommend this course.

In this course you will receive a DOT specimen collector certificate and a collector instructor certificate. The DOT requires you to retake DOT specimen collector training every 5 years. We call this refresher training, which is a repeat of the initial training that you take. There is no DOT requirement to retake instructor training every 5 years. However, many instructors come back to retake the instructor course and receive a renewed specimen collector and instructor certificates. By retaking the instructor course every 5 years, you are provided with updated and current instructor materials.
