Blood Alcohol Concentration Wheel for Men and Women
The Combo BAC Wheel (blood alcohol concentration), calculates the intoxication levels for men and women based on their weight and number of drinks consumed. With calculations for men on one side and calculations for women on the reverse side, the Combo BAC Wheel illustrates the difference in intoxication levels between men and women who consume the same amount of alcohol and includes instructions for use and interesting alcohol facts. Calculates Intoxication Levels
The BAC Wheel estimates intoxication levels based on number of drinks and body weight. The upper window displays estimated alcohol level one hour after drinking. The lower window displays declining alcohol level hour by hour for a five-hour interval. Number of Drinks range is 1 to 16. Weight Range is 80 lb to 260 lb. Intoxication range is 0.02 to 0.40.
Estimates Based on Widmark Formula
The Widmark Formula uses variables such as body weight, percentage of water in the body, number of drinks, and rate of alcohol elimination to scientifically estimate intoxication levels. Our combo BAC Wheels use average values for men and for women in order to calculate different intoxication levels for men and for women based on number of drinks, body weight, gender, and time since the last drink.
Teaching Tool for Alcohol Safety Education
The Combo Blood Alcohol Concentration Wheel makes a great hands-on teaching tool for alcohol education programs and allows students to instantly see how alcohol effects women differently from men. Students can dial in different body weights to see how significantly the same dose of alcohol effects a very small person compared to a very large person. The BAC Wheels also illustrate how long it takes to sober up by calculating the hour-by-hour decrease in intoxication.
