What is an MRO Assistant?
An MRO Assistant, also known as an MRO-A or an MRO Team Member, is someone who assists the MRO (Medical Review Officer) in some aspects of organizing and reporting DOT and non-DOT urine drug screen test results to the employee and to the employer. The core tasks of the MRO Assistant are:
- Organize all incoming copies of the CCF
- Match the MRO’s copy of the CCF to the laboratory’s copy of the CCF
- Review of the MRO and lab copy of the CCF for completeness
- Contact the donor to set up the MRO/donor interview
- Assist the MRO in preparing for the donor interview
- Report negative drug test results after MRO verification of the report
