What You May Expect
Our Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor Training covers most Intoximeter instruments, including the Alco-Sensor VXL/RBT VXL, Alco-Sensor IV/RBT IV, Alco-Sensor IV with Memory, Alco-Sensor IV @Work software, and Alcomonitor CC.
In advance of classroom training, you will complete online DOT rules and regulations and Alco-Sensor device training.
Our Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor Training Covers:
- Day One. You will get certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT), a requirement to become a BAT Instructor. You will also train to receive a Factory Certified Calibration Technician certification.
- Day Two. You will learn effective teaching methods and how to effectively use your instructor resources, an important first step to becoming a BAT Instructor. You will also lead portions of the class by delivering assigned topics.
By the end of this course, you will demonstrate a sound knowledge of the testing instrument, a firm grasp of the DOT rules and regulations related to alcohol testing, and a comprehensive understanding of basic adult learning principles.

Calibration Technician Certification
We are the only company sanctioned by Intoximeters to train and certify our Breath Alcohol Instructors as Factory Authorized Calibration Technicians. This allows you to properly calibrate your breath alcohol instrument for optimal accuracy and efficiency, saving you valuable time and money.

Resources & Compliance
Instructor Resources
To further enrich the learning process, we provide every student with a BAT Instructor Manual, which includes detailed notes on how to present a BAT class and valuable instructor and student resources to help you and your students address day-to-day breath alcohol testing challenges.
An Emphasis on Compliance
Our courses teach current regulations and DOT best practices for workplace testing. This is why we not only emphasize compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan for breath testing devices but also train our BAT instructors to comply with DOT regulations in their own classroom settings.
