Description
Breathalyzer Bacterial Viral Filter
The TestSafe™ mouthpiece is a single-use bacterial viral filter that fits all Intoximeter Alco-Sensor mouthpieces, as well as the Lifloc FC and Intoxilyzer SD mouthpieces. This bacterial filter is based on the same filtering technology used in N-95 respirators. The TestSafe™ Mouthpiece traps expelled bacterial and viral particles from an exhaled breath sample, filtering 99.99% of bacterial particles and 99.93% of viral particles. These filtering efficiencies help protect both the operator and the subject.
A check valve allows for the one-way flow of air, preventing subjects from sucking air back through the filter and mouthpiece. This eliminates claims that a subject contracted a virus from the device.
Attach the TestSafe™ mouthpiece directly into the breath inlet port on the Alcomonitor CC. For handheld devices, the filter snuggly fits onto each of the devices’ mouthpiece.

Question
Jessica Kristoff –
Due to Covid 19 being highly transmissible is it a true statement that your company does recommend use of the following machines:
Alco-Sensor FST
Alco-Sensor and Alco-Sensor III
Alco-Sensor IV
Alco-Sensor VXL
Alcomonitor CC
Lifeloc FC
Intoxilyzer SD
when the added protection of the use of the Breathalyzer Bacterial Viral Filter TestSafe™ Filter adapter which has been designed to substantially protect workers and the public from the spread of COVID 19 virus has been applied in order to mitigate the spread of Covid-19? In other words, using the aforementioned machines without the adapter during the present Covid-19 pandemic is not recommended and may increase the likelihood of COVID=19 spreading. Not sanitizing machines may also increase the likelihood of COVID 19 spreading.

You are correct Jessica. The breathalyzer filter works in the same way spirometer filters work. As the subject or patient expels breath into the device, the filter traps bacteria and viruses from going into the device and then into the air.
