Must a BAT or STT receive refresher training?

  • BATs and STTs must be re-trained at least every five years from the date on which they completed the initial training requirements.
  • Training must be in accordance with the DOT Model BAT course, or a course that has been approved as equivalent.
  • BATs must perform a minimum of three consecutive error-free mock tests to complete refresher training.
