Frequently Asked Questions

Who would benefit from taking this DER course?

Individuals new to the DER role or who have been in the role for some time. Although it’s not a DOT requirement, it is also beneficial to refresh your skills and knowledge by taking this course every 2-5 years.

Do you offer modal specific training?

Yes. The FMCSA and PHMSA modal courses focus on requirements as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. Other modality specific courses will soon follow.

Do trainees receive a certificate after completing this course?

Yes. A personalized certificate is automatically made available and can be downloaded and printed once the employee completes the course.

If I can't finish the course in a single sitting, can I take the course in stages?

Yes. We have designed the course in a manner that employees may learn at their own pace, and may resume the course where they left off each time they log in.

Once the course is complete, will I be able to log in to access the course in the future?

Upon completing each course, the employee will continue to have access to course content and resource documents for up to 120 days. All resource documents in the course can be downloaded.

May I purchase multiple tickets for different employees?

Yes. Companies with more than one DER can purchase one or more tickets. An automated email with onboarding and log in instructions is then sent to each ticket holder.

Can I sign employees up for one or more courses and track their progress?

Our Training Teams Portal Package allows you to control which course(s) employees may access. Team Leaders get the required permissions to enroll employees, assign courses, and track employee progress. You may view our package pricing here.

What happens if I encounter technical difficulties accessing or navigating through the course?
