EBT Decision Tree
Choosing the right Intoximeters evidential breath alcohol device is made easier with this decision tree.
An evidential breath alcohol tester provides legally defensible results that can stand up in court. To qualify as evidential, a device must meet strict accuracy standards, including the ability to detect alcohol within +/- .005 BAC when compared to a blood draw.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) evaluates breath alcohol instruments to ensure they meet these requirements. Devices that pass are placed on the DOT Conforming Products List (CPL) of evidential breath measurement devices.
