KNOXVILLE, TN: May 18, 2018 – AlcoPro, Inc., a leading supplier of drug and alcohol testing products and training services has announced their intent to acquire Kahntact USA, Inc., a leading medical device supplier to the occupational health and medical industries. The Knoxville-based AlcoPro specializes in selling drug and alcohol testing products to law enforcement, corrections, substance abuse treatment, and workplace testing professionals.
“We believe there is synergy between occupational medicine equipment and supplies, which is Kahntact USA’s strength, and the drug and alcohol testing products and services that AlcoPro offers. In addition to enabling AlcoPro to expand sales for drug and alcohol testing, the acquisition of Kahntact USA will also give us the capability to support our customers with a complete offering of occupational medicine equipment and supplies our customers need to service their clients,” states AlcoPro’s President Jack Singleton. Additionally, AlcoPro has a robust portfolio of high quality training services and on-line interactive training courses that will enable Kahntact USA customers to meet their training needs efficiently and economically.
The acquisition is scheduled to be completed by end of business on May 25th, 2018 with business operations moving to AlcoPro’s corporate facility in Knoxville, TN on May 28th, 2018. AlcoPro will continue to operate the business under the Kahntact USA business name and customers of Kahntact USA will be able to conduct their business through the existing Kahntact communication channels.
Gary Kahn, founder and current owner of Kahntact USA will continue to be involved with the business, transitioning from the day-to-day business operations to focusing on the growing sales of occupation health and medical device equipment. Gary states, “Our goal is to make the transition for Kahntact USA customers as seamless as possible.” He continues, “We are dedicated to giving Kahntact customers the same attentive customer service that they have been accustomed to receiving from Kahntact USA staff, and to minimize any disruption in shipping customers’ orders as we transition the operations from Chicago to Knoxville, TN.”
