No-mess Collection Procedure
The Split Specimen Key Cup 10 panel uses an integrated cup design that builds a drug detection card securely into the container, minimizing the collectors contact with the specimen. The donor provides a urine specimen directly into the cup and attaches the leak proof screw-on lid. The integrated cup design eliminates the need to pipette the specimen onto a test card or to dip a test strip into the urine.
Operator Controls Test Activation
The unique design of the Split Specimen Key Cup allows only the operator to activate the test device by inserting a special key that presses an internal plunger. This transfers a small amount of specimen to contact the test card to start the test reaction. Other cups start to react immediately, as soon as the donor’s specimen fills the cup. This important feature places the test procedure entirely under the control of the operator.
Photocopy Test Results
The flat front design of the Split Specimen Key Cup enables the operator to photocopy test results to create a permanent record. We include a photocopy report template so that collectors can document donor identification and other relevant details of the collection process and the test results.
Secure Laboratory Confirmation
The design of the Split Specimen Key Cup keeps the specimen segregated from the test card at all times. This provides the highest level of security when sending specimens to the laboratory for confirmation testing. The operator initiates chain of custody by placing a seal over the cup and sends the specimen in the original cup without the need to pour the specimen into another container.
