Online DOT Specimen Collector Training: DOT Regulations & Mock Collections
The online DOT Specimen Collector Training course applies current DOT regulations (49 CFR, Part 40), and covers both procedural and proficiency training requirements for professional urine specimen collectors. Upon course completion and the completion of the required 5 mock collections, you will receive your DOT urine specimen collector certificate.
Once you complete online training covering 49 CFR Part 40, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up for a live online training session, where you will complete the required 5 mock specimen collections in the presence of our certified instructor.

Supplies Required for Mock Collections
- 8, Federal Custody and Control Forms (use your own or purchase our kits)
- 6, DOT approved split specimen collection kits (use your own or purchase our kits)
- Warm water (to serve as the specimen)
- A donor or subject (the DOT requires you perform mock tests on a live subject)
- Disposable gloves (recommended, not required)
