The online DOT urine or oral fluid specimen collector instructor training course fully certifies you to perform specimen collections, and trains and certifies you as an instructor. As part of the DOT mandate, you will be required to demonstrate proficiency in DOT Regulations (49 CFR Part 40) and complete the five specific mock collections required of all collectors. Students taking the oral fluid course must demonstrate proficiency on a specific oral fluid collection device.  As a Specimen Collector Instructor, you will receive detailed resource documents and instructions for training students and observing the mock collections.

Once you complete online regulations training, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up for an online mock collections session. During this session you will complete the 5 mock specimen collections and receive practical instructions on adult education and how to effectively teach and certify others.
