Using the Logical Operator NOT

Use the NOT operator to exclude knowledge base items that contain a specific word or phrase.  Note that the logical operator NOT must be spelled using capital letters.

For example, searching for observed NOT collection will display knowledge base items that contain the word observed, but do not contain the word collection.

Searching for observed NOT “observed collection” will display knowledge base items that contain the word observed, but do not contain the phrase “observed collection.”
