How do you dump the memory in the RBT IV to a computer?

Hyperterminal software:

Note:  This procedure requires a null modem adapter ($50) to connect the cable from the RBT IV printer to a serial connection, and may also require a serial to USB adapter if your computer does not have an available serial port.

HyperTerminal (the terminal emulator) has been included with Microsoft Windows (Accessories > communications) with versions up through Windows XP. Although it is not longer included in Windows 7, you can still get it from: http://www.hilgraeve.com/hyperterminal/.  There is a “30 day trial” with some annoying pop-ups to deal with, but it still works.

The communication settings should be 2400:N:8:1 (2400 baud rate, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, hardware flow control).  Go to Transfer > Capture Text, name the file and identify the path for storage before starting communication. The RBT IV would dump to this program by holding down last test button while pressing the ON button.  Then go back to Transfer and select STOP.

Intoxnet Software

IntoxNet is proprietary software that has the capability of downloading RBT IV data, generating reports, running filtering queries on records, etc.  Please call for current pricing.  Using Intoxnet requires a null modem adapter and perhaps a serial USB adapter.

Download Report Service

We also offers a “download report” service for $35.00. Customers ship us an instrument, we download the data and send them a report in a pdf, on a CD, on paper, as each customer prefers.   We also do a QC just to make sure it works when it leaves here for good peace of mind, and ship it back.
