The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates the sale of drug testing kits. Currently, all the kits offered in AlcoPro’s catalog and on our web site are cleared by the FDA for professional use only. They are not available for sale directly to consumers.
The FDA requires that drug test kits sold to consumers have Over the Counter clearance, or OTC. Drug test kits that have OTC clearance typically are bundled with laboratory confirmation testing, which makes the price of home drug test kits considerably more expensive than kits sold for professional use.
AlcoPro Inc now has two disposable breath alcohol tests, the CheckPoint and the Alco-Breath Tube (ABT), that have been FDA cleared for Over the Counter use. Both tests are available for purchase by the general public.
