DOT Publishes New Q & A

The Department of Transportation published a new Q & A on July 26, 2012 that explains how the Public Interest Exclusion (PIE) process works when a service agent has been convicted for an offense related to non-compliance with Part 40 or DOT Agency drug and alcohol testing rules. You may view the July 27, 2012 Q & A here.

This Q & A is one of a series that the DOT Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy Compliance (ODAPC) has published over the years. These Q & As constitute official and authoritative guidance and interpretation concerning Part 40. You can view all the Q & A’s on the ODAPC website. AlcoPro’s searchable Knowledge Base also contains every one of the Q & A’s.

This question is typical of the discussions we have in our BAT and Collector training classes.
