Alco-Sensor VXL: Which Version is Right for You?

The new Alco-Sensor VXL comes in several different configurations and firmware options to meet a wide variety of applications.  AlcoPro’s customer service staff typically helps guides our customers in selecting the appropriate version for their application.  To give a more detailed look at these instruments, we’ve created some short video clips for a peek at what makes one version different from another…

DOT Testing: RBT VXL

The RBT VXL system connects an Alco-Sensor VXL to a keyboard and a printer.  The keyboard provides convenient data entry for data such as BAT ID number, Subject name, Subject ID number, Company name, and Reason for Test.  The system prints all data on the test result.  The firmware includes the DOE and NRC protocols.     Click here to see video of data entry for a DOT test with the RBT VXL.

DOT Testing:  Alco-Sensor VXL “Data Lite”

Because the Alco-Sensor VXL “Data Lite” system does not include a keyboard for data entry, the instrument does not prompt the operator to enter data asked for by the RBT system.  The DOT protocol offers a choice of screening or confirmation test, and triggers a 15 minute waiting period on a positive screening test.   Click here to see video of a “Data Lite” DOT test sequence.

Law Enforcement, Corrections, etc:  Alco-Sensor VXL “Screener”

The Alco-Sensor VXL Screener meets the needs of all customers who are not doing workplace testing, such as law enforcement, corrections, and substance abuse treatment programs.  The Alco-Sensor VXL Screener simply does a breath alcohol test.   Click here to see video of the Alco-Sensor VXL test sequence.
